Corporate Social Responsibility: Driving Positive Change Beyond the Office

Corporate social responsibility at MariApps Group is not an annual exercise; it is a consistent thread running through how we operate, and how we engage with the communities around us. The first half of the year brought seven distinct initiatives that reflect that commitment in action.

Data Protection Day

In light of Data Protection Day in January, MariApps Group hosted an internal training with a focus on something that underpins everything the company does. Data protection at MariApps is not a compliance exercise — it is embedded in daily operations through clear policies, security controls, regular risk assessments, and continuous staff training. The day was an opportunity to reinforce that culture and recognize the people who uphold it.

World Blood Donor Day

To mark World Blood Donor Day, colleagues in Singapore and Cyprus came forward with a shared purpose: to donate blood and support a cause with direct, life-saving consequences for patients in need.

The participation across both locations was a straightforward expression of something the company believes in: that the people at MariApps are willing to contribute beyond their professional roles when it matters.

Fire Drill at MariApps House

MariApps House recently conducted a full fire drill as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and prepared workplace for everyone. The exercise was designed to test the effectiveness of emergency response procedures, evaluate evacuation readiness, and ensure that every colleague knows exactly what to do when it matters most.

Workplace safety preparedness is not a box-ticking exercise. It requires regular practice, honest evaluation, and the full cooperation of the entire team, all of which were on display during the drill. Thank you to every colleague who participated and took the exercise seriously.

Beach Clean-Up, Pondicherry

In recognition of World Ocean Day, our Pondicherry team dedicated a weekend morning to a beach clean-up initiative along the local coastline. Colleagues came together to contribute to something larger than the working week: the health of the ocean that, in many ways, is central to the industry MariApps serves.

Cleaning Up for World Ocean Day, East Coast Park, Singapore

As part of World Oceans Day, colleagues from MariApps Marine Solutions joined other entities from the Schulte Group for the Singapore Beach Cleaning initiative at East Coast Park. The morning brought together employees and their families for a hands-on effort to remove waste from one of Singapore’s most-visited coastlines, a small but meaningful act for the ocean environment that the maritime industry depends on. For a company whose work is rooted in the sea, participating in its protection feels less like a gesture and more like a responsibility.

Medical Health Camp at MariApps House

MariApps hosted a three-day Medical Health Camp at MariApps House in Kochi. The initiative brought employees together for consultations, screenings, and preventive care services focused on supporting healthier everyday routines. We thank everyone who contributed to making the camp a success.

Smart Bus Shelter Near Infopark, Kochi

MariApps supported the installation of a new bus shelter opposite Infopark, near the entrance to SmartCity, Kochi. The shelter provides commuters with a safe, comfortable place to wait and offers protection from the city’s heat while serving the many people who pass through the area each day.

The inauguration brought together MariApps CEO Sankar Ragavan, guests, and sponsors in recognition of a shared effort to support the Thrikkakara community.
