Celebrations: The Moments That Bring Us Together

At MariApps Group, the work we do in maritime software is driven by the people behind it. The first half of the year offered several meaningful opportunities to step back, celebrate those people, and recognize the cultural richness that defines our organization across every office.

A Global Christmas

The holiday season closed out in 2025 on a high note. Sankar Ragavan, CEO opened the festivities with a personal message of gratitude, reflecting on the year and the people who shaped it. What followed was a compilation of holiday greetings from MariApps teams around the world, a simple reminder that despite the distances between our offices, the spirit that unites this company is consistent.

The celebrations at MariApps House in Kochi brought that spirit to life in full. The office was decorated, the music was on, and the team gave themselves permission to simply enjoy each other’s company. Behind-the-scenes footage captured what the polished highlights often miss, the candid laughs, the organized chaos of preparation, and the small moments that make a celebration feel genuine.

The Annual Party

December also marked the MariApps Annual Party. An evening set aside entirely for the people who deliver our products, support our clients, and drive the company forward day to day. Performances across the night ranged from traditional arts to contemporary showcases, reflecting the same diversity and creativity that the team brings to their professional work. It was an evening of well-earned recognition.

Data Protection Day

MariApps Group also marked Data Protection Day in January with an internal focus on something that underpins everything the company does. Data protection at MariApps is not a compliance exercise — it is embedded in daily operations through clear policies, security controls, regular risk assessments, and continuous staff training. The day was an opportunity to reinforce that culture and recognize the people who uphold it.

Chinese New Year in Singapore

Our MariApps Marine Solutions and Memphis Marine & Offshore teams in Singapore marked the Lunar New Year with a reunion dinner, a tradition centered on coming together, sharing a meal, and setting the right tone for the year ahead. It was an evening of good food, easy conversation, and the kind of laughter that carries over into the working days that follow.

The reunion dinner is one of the most meaningful customs of the Chinese New Year, and the Singapore team honored it in the spirit it deserves. Wishing everyone a rewarding and prosperous year ahead.

Pongal in Pondicherry

In February, our Pondicherry team gathered to celebrate Pongal, the South Indian harvest festival rooted in gratitude and community. The day included traditional food, music, games, and dancing — a full and joyful acknowledgement of the occasion. It was a reminder that MariApps Group is not a monolithic culture but a collection of rich traditions, and that the team takes pride in celebrating them together.

International Women’s Day

In March, the MariApps Group celebrated International Women’s Day across multiple offices with events that felt personal rather than ceremonial. At MariApps House in Kochi, the afternoon brought colleagues together for food, conversation, and a genuine acknowledgement of the contributions women make across every level of the organization. In Pondicherry, the team marked the occasion with characteristic energy, a candid video that captured confidence, personality, and a sense of pride in equal measure.

The day served as a reminder that appreciation for the people who shape this company is not reserved for annual reviews or milestones. It is an ongoing commitment.

Eid al-Fitr

MariApps House hosted a buffet luncheon to mark Eid al-Fitr, bringing colleagues together over food and conversation in the spirit of the occasion. Events like this one reflect something important about how MariApps Group operates, as a team that acknowledges and respects the cultural and religious moments that matter to its people.

World Day for Cultural Diversity

On the World Day for Cultural Diversity, colleagues from across the MariApps Group took part in a digital celebration that put the spotlight on the identities, heritage, and traditions represented within the company. From native attire to national flags, the video brought together faces from multiple countries in a single, unified expression of who we are as an organization.

Cultural diversity at MariApps is not a talking point; it is visible in the daily makeup of our teams, the celebrations we observe, and the perspectives that inform how we build and deliver our products. This day was simply an occasion to acknowledge that openly, and to celebrate the people who bring it to life.
